Dr. Walter C Taylor, MD is retired from Mayo Clinic Florida full time family medicine and sports medicine practice, where he served as Family Medicine Residency Director and Sports Medicine Fellowship Director. He presently provides volunteer sports medicine services in a clinic for the uninsured in Asheville, NC.

Over his full-time career Dr. Taylor has served as team physician for multiple organizations including the University of Connecticut, University of Detroit Mercy, the Detroit Drive Arena Football Team, Detroit Rockers Indoor Soccer Team, Detroit Turbos Indoor Lacrosse Team, and multiple high schools. In addition, Dr Taylor served the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) in several roles including Tournament Physician and Medical Advisor. He has served as both Treasurer and President of the Society for Tennis Medicine and Science.
