Lido Key
Lido Key Beach has yards of soft white sand with excellent shelling. A pavilion houses a restaurant, ice cream shop, beach shop, restrooms and a public freshwater swimming pool. With ample parking, refreshments, lifeguards on duty, and calm, warm water, this beach is a great choice for a day of sunning, swimming and snorkeling.

The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens
Nestled on the shores of beautiful Sarasota Bay, Selby Gardens is a tropical urban oasis. As a respected center for botanical research and education, it includes 8 greenhouses and the stunning Tropical Conservatory, the Center for Tropical Plant Sciences and Conservation.
Myakka State Park
One of Florida’s oldest and largest parks, Myakka consists of 58 square miles of land. The Myakka River, Florida’s first state-designated wild and scenic river, flows through the center. Discover a vast expanse of wetlands, prairies, hammocks, and pinelands that make up the beautiful park. Boating, fishing, canoeing and kayaking are popular activities on the water while hikers and bicyclists can explore miles of trails and backroads.
The Ringling Museum
The museum and its accompanying palatial mansion is a tribute to the American Dream and reflects the splendor and romance of Italy. Described as “the last of the Gilded Age mansions” to be built in America, Ca’ d’Zan has 56 incredible rooms filled with art and original furnishings. The grounds are as spectacular as the museum itself, home to 66 acres of fabulous Florida foliage and fauna right on the Sarasota Bay.
Mote Marine Aquarium
The Mote Marine Aquarium is an independent, nonprofit marine research institution comprised of world-class marine scientists who are committed to the conservation and sustainable use of our oceans. What started as a small, one-room laboratory has now grown to include more than 20 marine research programs. We understand that personal health issues and concerns, along with hospital policies and restrictions, have put many in a position where they cannot travel, and we respect your decision. We also know that this doesn’t apply to everyone, and for those of you who wish to travel, we want to respect your need for time away from every day life to participate in distraction-free education.
We have implemented the following precautionary measures:
- Touchless sign-in
- Temperature screenings
- Required face masks for both staff and attendees
- Acrylic guards on classroom tables between attendees
- Hand sanitizing stations easily located throughout the conference
- Increased daily cleaning of conference rooms and audience response units
